  • Why Empowerment?

When leaving university or school, who answers the question "What do I want to be now?" with the phrase "A bad employee"? No one. People have a natural intrinsic motivation.

This is precisely the starting point for the empowerment approach. It focuses on trust, responsibility, and creative freedom. Employees are encouraged to make decisions and fully contribute their strengths. These are things that increase motivation and competence instead of being stifled by rigid structures.

At its core, there are four principles: feeling meaningfulness in work, experiencing competence, utilizing real self-determination, and having a noticeable impact on results.

In companies, this leads to greater motivation, initiative, and team spirit. Employees actively contribute ideas, take responsibility, and drive change.

The result: higher satisfaction, increased productivity, and a culture in which innovation and collaboration are a matter of course.

This makes empowerment a key factor right now, where human roles in companies are having to be redefined due to the increasing use of artificial intelligence.

Empowerment not only creates efficiency but also a working environment that is attractive, dynamic, and sustainable.

  • Which companies benefit from it?

Fast-growing companies that rely on knowledge, creativity, and rapid adaptability benefit particularly from this. These include:

    • Innovation-driven companies such as scale-ups, carve-outs, spin-offs, or high-tech companies, where new ideas and initiative are crucial.

    • Service companies that rely heavily on direct customer interaction—here, empowerment has been proven to increase the quality of customer interaction and employee motivation.

    • Knowledge-intensive organizations, such as consultancies, agencies, or research institutions, where complex problems must be solved independently, never reach their full potential without empowerment.

    • Companies undergoing change, transformation, digitalization, or restructuring—empowerment significantly increases acceptance and willingness to change and reduces the risk of failure.

    • Medium-sized companies that depend on committed, versatile employees to remain flexible and competitive and have recognized the value of their own workforce.

  • What industry experience does the Empowerment Team Berlin bring to the table?

The empowerment approach itself can help in any industry. But of course, it is helpful for specific projects if the consulting team has in-depth experience. This allows us to get to the heart of the matter more quickly and come up with better solutions. We currently have experience in the following industries:

    • IT and software industry

    • Technology-driven manufacturing companies

    • Media

    • Healthcare and the healthcare industry

    • Energy

    • Services

    • Research institutes and universities

    • Public service

  • Does the Empowerment Team Berlin only work in Berlin?

Berlin is where we started. From day one, we were already active far beyond that. With a team that has extensive international experience, we currently offer our services throughout Europe, but not in all languages.

  • Can I also receive personal coaching?

Yes, some team members, for instance the two founders Sabrina Müller and Uwe Weinreich, also offer personal coaching for individuals on a limited basis. Just ask.
